Punjabi Hold On Brochure

Dr. Roma Chumak-Horbatsch, Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Early Childhood Studies, has created a brochure to help families understand the importance of maintaining their home language(s) for their children. This brochure has been translated into Punjabi with the help of Councillor Vicky Dhillon (City of Brampton) and Sukhminder Singh Hansra. ScribJab

Dr. Kelleen Toohey and Dr. Diane Dagenais, Professors in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University, have created ScribJab (www.scribjab.com) for children to create digital stories in multiple languages. Sain Shop

Sain Shop is a Canadian distribution company that specializes in books from India with a focus on English and other Indian languages. Sain Shop also has an excellent collection of bilingual and multilingual books to support children’s literacy development in their home languages. Sain Shop is a tremendous resource for teachers.

HomeRoots Books

LEAP Resources

British Columbia’s provincial literacy organization, Decoda Literacy Solutions, designed a set of teaching resources known as LEAP BC for early childhood practitioners who work with young children and their families.
